The site, inn and hostel Lirios do Vale in the region of Vale das Princesas can serve as accommodation for cyclists on the second day coming from Petrópolis and then go straight to Vassouras without staying in Paty do Alferes, where there are few options for lodging. The mileage from Paty do Alferes to Vasouras is small.
The stretch from Vale das Princesas to Paty do Alferes follows almost 80% of the dirt road. There are two long runs of medium difficulty but there are many long descents where you need to be very careful because the track is dangerous, stretches with sand and dangerous curves.
